Remember those days when you would post things to your Facebook Business Page and you were actually reaching a good percentage of those who had liked and followed your pages? Well, if you have spent any time on your Facebook Business Page you know those numbers have continued to drop over the years. In fact, it is believed that with the new algorithm you are reaching 1 follower for every 100 likes you have.
If you want to be seen on Facebook, you will need to pay to play. Unfortunately, that is the name of the game. However, we have found that Instagram has the organic reach rate we used to see back in the “Good Days” of Facebook.
If your business isn’t on Instagram yet, it’s time to be. Can you really find a seller or buyer on Instagram? Sure you can. By utilizing Instagram you are continuing to build your brand’s awareness, and are establishing yourself as the expert in your area.
When beginning your journey on Instagram begin by searching for hashtags that are relevant to your area and your market industry. Next, find the top posts with those hashtags. Finally, spend some time leaving comments on those posts. It’s all about engaging and being active with your community.
How do I engage? Stuck on how to engage with others on Instagram? Start by sharing your own experiences. Provide helpful tips to meet their needs. Whatever you do, don’t come across as a know-it-all.
Now it’s time to post to your own Instagram account. You want to post consistently with that being at least once a day, if not more. Once those comments and questions start coming in be sure to respond to everyone who has engaged with your account.
